I'm actually an owner of one of the units. There are 13 total units- Mike's owners unit, I believe 2 2 bedroom unit and 5 1 bedroom units. They are all duplex lofts with TONS of natural light and really spectacular finishes.

We are in the midst of redoing some significant upgrades to the building and grounds...so stay tuned!!

When i first moved to Chicago 5 yrs ago i found myself living in the Goldcoast and down the street from this very cool modern building with lots of unique character... i walked by it almost everyday on my way home and i always wantd to know what this building was all about and why it was just standing there with the white paint pealing off... looking a bit weathered, sad in a way...and in bad dis-repair...i wanted to know if it was a possible rental or if was multiple apt units and if so... when i could snatch one up to live in this cool place i could call home. I often had beers across the street from this building and asked people about it often just to learn what i could about this building...and heard from several people that the building was never kept up... was always in bad shape and at one time was considered an eye sore in the area... the Goldcoast... one of Chicago's wealthiest old moneyed neighborhoods...

Recently, this building @ 1209 Norst State Parkway was featured in Architectual Digest with a full spread and layout as well as several photos of the interior apt complete with a full history of the building design... i learned that this bulding and apt was designed for an executive... who was one of the Marshal Fields Sons... I knew that there was something special about this building... but now seeing it in its full beauty and knowing its history... i knew i had fallen in love... almost as if love at first site 5 yrs ago when i first saw it... its now for sale and the asking price is $1,675.000... such a great deal for such a great cool place...
