Anne and Chris White have been in their house for only a year and already the budding family has run into a slew of homeowner issues. The worst of them all? A basement that won't stop flooding. To protect their young son from a wave of danger, they called on To the Rescue, Fanuka Inc., Floorcraft and Bruce Laminate Flooring to help dry the rain.
I loved the sheet covering the couch in the before view, they should have let it on in the final showing.
I'd love that color sheet for my guest suite chair any idea where I could get it???

I thought the space looked just amazing! It had a perfect balance... an area where the parents can sit and relax with out seeing all of the clutter of the kids toys and an area where the kids could play where you can still keep an eye on them! I would LOVE to have Rescue Team come to my home and create a space like that for my family! I LOVED THE wood floor and the door transformation was phenomenal... what a difference! I could go on and on! Great great stuff! Kudos to the designer.

It is a shame that someone took advantage of this young couple just starting out. By the condition of the house and their furniture you can tell they are not financially well off. Hoperfully they will be able to get into something nicer soon so the baby does not suffer.
They can check with the local legal aid about suing the former owners because it looks like someone really took advantage of them. Also sue the home inspector!
If they have family in the area- they should step up to help them fix this dump up.
They should look into getting some newer stuff at Goodwill. Lots of time they have better stuff than I saw in this place.

If just purchasing a dishwasher and a waterheater ate up their cash, this couple should refinance
and put some extra cash in a emergency account I can see all types of problems with that house.
However homeowners insurance should have covered any water damage caused by piping or appliances. Sounds like they are in over their head financially.

I agree. A good home inspection would have revealed these issues. After watching the video I would be concerned with mold. I would not want my child on those basement floors. And this was only the basement, what about the rest of the house? Did they test for radon, termites, etc. It appears this young couple bought a "money pit" for a home.
Good luck!

Why did they have to look at each other so much? Was that to get the story straight? Shennanians in Stratford. You should charge them!

Great Job Team. New homeowners should always have a trained professional go through the house before purchasing. Items like dishwashers and water heaters have a given usable life and need to e replaced before damage like this happens. Thank God no one was hurt. I would have the furnance and oven checked too
