Basement Rescue

George and Courtney Cachet team up again to alleviate a mother of two from the toy madness going on in the basement. The kids' toys have completely taken over the space that she and her husband used to enjoy. We've enlisted the interior designer to clean up the clutter and decorate the space in a way the whole family can enjoy.

I love these shows -- I would never have thought of using such a deep, rich color for a playroom/family room, but it really works. I also love the vibrant paintings -- I think it's so important to expose kids to art at a young age. Beautiful job!! Many thanks for the creative ideas!

As usual, Courtney, you were great. This room gave me several ideas. Those little kids things are worth looking up. The kid size chair and chaise were so cute. I looked at their web site and I say GO NORTH CAROLINA . Now it's hard to make up my mind.

I thought the space looked just amazing! It had a perfect balance... an area where the parents can sit and relax with out seeing all of the clutter of the kids toys and an area where the kids could play where you can still keep an eye on them! I would LOVE to have Courtney and George come to my home and create a space like that for my family! I LOVED THE turquoise beaded pillow and the fireplace transformation was phenomenal... what a difference! I could go on and on! Great great stuff! Kudos to the designer.

Wait a second, did I see a child-sized chaise? So cute! Looked great in the room, and really complimented the oversized sectional. Where'd that come from, I have been looking for something just like that....

Loved the show - some great ideas those of us with similar basements can implement. Courtney - can you please give us a rundown of the color selections? Also, what were some of your favorite kid-friendly items found in the room we shouldn't miss?
